Our family of 8 stayed at Bar-K for a week last week. From the moment we booked , Jay, our super host asked us if there was anything that would make our stay more comfortable. So, from getting more mattresses for the grandchildren so they could sleep in the cinema room, to buying specific choices of coffees for the machine, Jay made sure our stay would be worth it.As it turned out we had rain practically every day so although the family went out every day they came back to enjoy the sauna and hot tub but unfortunately missed out on the huge bar-b-que sitting on the very large deck outside. A tv in every room meant we could all watch our favourite programs or films and gaming in the cinema room! We even had a puzzle going in the living room in front of the woodburner.Bar-K is the ideal house for extended families because you can scatter around doing your own thing or sit together to eat at the long table in the open plan dining room.I highly recommend Bar-K and Jay as a host at any time of the year! We would certainly love to go back!

We stayed for our dads 50th birthday and it was even better than expected. When we arrived the first thing we walked in to was an area for the dogs which included robes, and towels with their name on which added the nicest touch, the kitchen was absolutely pristine and gorgeously furnished. the beds were so comfy and the rooms were beautiful with amazing attention to detail. The games room was perfect and led to hours of entertainment, same goes for the hot tub and the sauna, they were just extremely relaxing. the driveway was very accommodating for how many cars we had which was great. Jays communication was brilliant and nothing was too much for him, he was a fabulous host. the most perfect and fun holiday, we cant wait to return. Couldn’t recommend more.

We stayed at Bar-K for the weekend to celebrate my 40th Birthday with friends. Was the absolute perfect choice! House is exceptionally well equipped and very clean. Hot tub and pool table a firm favourite for us and really made the stay feel extra special. During our stay we took a Taxi into Plymouth on the Saturday which was about 15-20 minutes away and enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast dinner at the Notterbridge Inn (worth a visit). Jay the house owner was extremely polite and helpful, really good communication both before and during our stay. Could not recommend this house more.

The house is beautiful. It’s spacious and comfortable with everything you need to have a great time. The games room, hot tub, sauna and cinema room provided lots of entertainment- in fact several of us spent the whole holiday just enjoying the amenities. The bathrooms are spotless, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. The welcome pack was full of delicious Cornish goodies and the freshly baked scones and eggs were perfect. There was even a personalised doggie towel and a plush bed for our Rudi. Jay has thought of everything and we really hope to return to Bar K in the new year.

We had an absolutely magical stay at this glamorous Airbnb located near Saltash.As we were driving down from Bristol, we had already expected to reach Bar-K quite late in the evening. Even so, about an hour past our actual check-in time (which was 4.00pm), our host Jay called us on the road to check if we were ok and safe, and if we’d be arriving soon as he had intended to welcome us there initially. We thought that was so considerate and kind of him to do so.We arrived when it was already pitch black outside, but the moment we stepped into the house, we felt warmly greeted by an impeccably designed interior with a perfect blend of modern luxury and classic English charm.The attention to detail of Bar-K was impeccable, and every room exuded elegance and comfort. The bedrooms were like something out of a fairytale, with plush bedding and cozy lighting. I love a good, firm king-size bed and the bed in our room was just heavenly. If I didn’t do anything at all and just stayed in bed the whole time I was there, it would still be time well spent. And those wallpapers! Gosh, such a huge fan of them. The kitchen was pretty equipped and made cooking a joy, and the dining area was perfect for enjoying meals with our family. (More usable towels for kitchen use would be great though — we only managed to find one!)A couple highlights were the cozy Cinema Room where my husband Hafiz and I slept next to, and the expansive outdoor terrace, where I sipped tea while squirrel and bird-watching. Didn’t get to use the sauna room, but the tub downstairs and was practically used every single day!The host(s) provide recommendations for local activities and dining, and there’s a comprehensive guide of the house as well as info about the area if you’re seeking activity around there.If you’re looking for a dreamy escape especially in group of up to 8, this Airbnb is an absolute gem. It’s a five-star experience that I will cherish forever.

Our family had a wonderful 7-night stay at Bar-K as a birthday getaway.The house had everything we needed and more – the hot tub and sauna were fab additions which were used every day, and the games room, snug, and cinema room were perfect for occupying us on rainy days after excursions around Devon and Cornwall. A great set-up to occupy an entire family.Upon arrival the house was immaculate. The 4 bedrooms are beautifully decorated and perfectly kitted out with all we needed for a relaxed holiday. The towels were a great size!The personal touches from Jay and Lisa (including ones for our pup) made the stay feel extra special, and the guidebook gave some really helpful suggestions. They were friendly and attentive hosts throughout our time at Bar-K, but without ever feeling overbearing. We loved our time here and couldn’t have asked for a better service.

We had the most amazing stay at bar-k a real home from home. With 4 children the cinema room and hot tub were a huge success . We had typical English weather but it was so nice to sit in front of the fire in the evenings. our youngest dog reggie agrees! We can’t wait to return.

Bar k is by far the best Airbnb me and my team have ever stayed. It was perfect for us to unwind after a long day at work. J And the team Have gone above and beyond to make you feel so comfortable, with the small touches and the attention to detail.The only one thing that we were disappointed with, is that we couldn’t book longer.Thanks again guys, xx

One of the best stays we’ve ever had, the photographs don’t do the place justice. It’s spotless, beautifully decorated and MASSIVE! Jay was amazing, lovely little bits waiting for us on arrival and super responsive to any questions we had. The place is a little far out from Plymouth harbour (took about 35 mins in the taxi) but we had a lovely time there going for some meals and drinks. 5 minutes down the road are an abundance of shops to stock up the house with (or a maccies, costa & greggs if you’re feeling lazy). Plenty of petrol stations local too if you’ve done a long drive and need to fill up. Loads to do at the air b&b so you could just hang about there if you wanted, pool table, hot tub and sauna were particular highlights and they had plenty of cooking utensils to cater for our group of 6. Beds were so comfy we’ve asked the hosts where to buy them ourselves for at home! Overall an 11/10 stay. Cannot recommend enough.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bar-K holiday house in Cornwall, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The property is stunning, perfectly situated in a quiet, peaceful setting yet only a short drive from all the major attractions in the county.The house is like a resort in itself, with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and entertaining stay. There is a cinema, Xbox, pool table, table football, and more. The garden is also huge, with a sauna and jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring.The house is beautifully designed and furnished, with high-quality amenities throughout. The Sonos sound system is particularly impressive, and the portable Sonos MOVE means you can enjoy music even in the garden.Jay, the host, was incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay. He was always available to answer our questions and make sure that we were having a great time.Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful experience at Bar-K. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and self-contained getaway in Cornwall.

The place was fantastic, it had so many nice little touches such as the personalised dog blanket and fresh scones on arrival. The hosts were super nice and always on hand for anything. would definitely recommend and would stay again. Was truly a fantastic place to stay!

Bar-K was one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in. We were there with friends and our dogs, and the attention to detail was second to none. It was the perfect combination of a great location to see Cornwall and fantastic amenities to keep us entertained while in the house. Games room, cinema room, jacuzzi, sauna, plenty of board games, comfy beds and comfy living room to chill in. Thanks so much for a great stay.

We booked for a weekend stay to celebrate my wife’s birthday and all I can say is that it was an absolutely perfect experience. Bar-K is in a good location, close to local amenities for goods and 15 mins from Plymouth for everything else you could want. Jay’s place is fantastic, and they have done everything possible to make it feel like a home – from the immaculately dressed rooms, to the entertainment, to the practical office space – everything has been catered for and been thought through. The hot tub and sauna were great, allowing you to un-wind at any given moment and the children were catered for with the games / cinema room (my son felt right at home), the pool table and table football. Practical things such as ensuites in most of the rooms and two bathrooms also made it easy for a family of five to get things done without any hassle. Overall, and I cannot rate our stay highly enough, thoroughly enjoyed. Jay was an excellent host, and we will be visiting again.

Absolutely amazing home, with everything you could wish for…and more!The hot tub, sauna and cinema room were big hits and there was something for everyone to participate in (our party consisted of age 6 to 84!).This is the best AirB&B we’ve ever stayed in. The best arrival hamper (for both humans and dogs!), comfiest beds, best facilities and great communication from Jay. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Well, what can I say! Jay and the gang have gone above and beyond to create the best airbnb we’ve ever seen (and we’ve stayed in A LOT). The 4 bedroom house has been beautifully renovated with stylish decor and luxurious furnishings, making this the perfect accommodation for a family / friends getaway for up to 8 people to enjoy. We absolutely loved the spacious feel of the open plan layout downstairs, which lends itself perfectly to social gatherings and family fun. The dining table is big enough to host a royal banquet! In terms of features this house has so much to offer; A games room complete with a slate bed pool table and full size football table, a secret cinema room for snuggly movie nights (also equipped with a PS5 for the gamers), a HUGE garden with croquet and badminton sets available to keep everyone entertained during the summer months and a luxurious outdoor hot tub and sauna to relax in too! They really have designed this place with the guests in mind and have quite literally thought of everything. We stayed for 4 days and didn’t leave the house once! Dogs are very welcome here too. As if all this wasn’t enough there were many personal touches too that helped to make this stay an unforgettable one. Upon arrival our hosts had supplied us with a luxury artisan gift hamper filled with yummy and locally produced goods, including freshly baked scones and artisan dog treats. They had even embroidered a personalised towel for our dog, Cookie, which is the sort of thing one would expect from only the very finest accommodation. We are blown away by this one, it really was outstanding and we can’t wait to go back again!

Best stay ever. Had a lovely holiday with my friends. The house is fun packed. You just need to pack your clothes, everything else you find there. The whole place seems to be aesthetically pleasing. I loved the whole arrangement and how neatly things were presented (the mirrors were my personal favourite 😍). Games room, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Outdoor games, Cinema,…..etc.. the list goes on.. We would love to go back again. 5 days never felt enough to explore the gem. Jay was very welcoming and helpful.Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday with your loved ones.-Team Brentwood

Amazing stay at Bar-K! Jay was so welcoming and the place was just spectacular! We will certainly be returning! The games room and Hot Tub were two of the highlights for us! This was our third visit to one of Jay and Lisa’s holiday lets, and we were not disappointed! Having stayed at the Old Sunday School twice, we knew what to expect from Bar-K, however when we arrived it exceeded our already high expectations.The property has been finished to an amazing standard, the hot tub, sauna, games and cinema rooms were brilliant and kept us busy during our stay. Jay and Lisa were brilliant from start to finish, and recommended places to eat/things to do which proved to be great recommendations.Thanks again and we can’t wait to visit in the near future!

What an amazing property and amazing people !! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The property..From the moment me and my family walked in the door it felt like a home away from home.Amazing decor and open spaces.This property really brings the hole family together, so much so, that we didn’t leave the property once during our entire stay.(apart from when we needed supplies 🥞😋)These are the amazing features we enjoyed the most.A big dining table for family mealsWood burner in the living room roaring away.Hot tub & saunaAnd the Piece de resistance for us was the CINEMA ROOM!!!. After dinner every night we all went up and got all snuggled up on the beanbags and watched a move.Jay & Rich are the most accommodating and friendly people I have ever met, they went above and beyond to ensure our family getaway was perfect… and guess what??… they succeeded.It feels like we came as guests and left as friends 😁A big thank you from me and my family.See you the same time next year 👍🏻The Fordes
